A lot of people think of a plant-based burger as being low in protein, but that’s not true. In fact, plant-based burgers have just as much protein as a regular burger. A regular beef burger has about 26 grams of protein and 32 grams with cheese. A plant-based burger is loaded with 20 grams of protein.

Plant-based uses 75% less water then the process currently in place to slaughter cows. It takes 1,800 gallons of water to go from a cow to your dinner plate.

Plant-based burger has absolutely no cholesterol whatsoever. Cholesterol has been linked to poor heart health for many years now.
Cholesterol comes from food that is made from animals so plant-based burgers clearly will not have any cholesterol.
There Is A Secret Ingredient
The secret ingredient or the not so secret ingredient for the plant-based burger is heme.
Heme is an iron-containing compound of the porphyrin class which forms the nonprotein part of hemoglobin and some other biological molecules.
This secret ingredient is what really gives plant-based burgers that realistic burger feels and color.

Plant-based burgers are starting to be available in more and more supermarkets stores. You can find Beyond Meats and the Impossible Burger in stores like Target, Shop Rite, and more. I would check with your local stores to see you can get plant-based burgers.
