One of the most common uses for aloe vera is applying it to minor wounds and cuts. The plant has the ability to accelerate the healing of wounds. Studies have revealed that aloe vera could treat first and second-degree burns.

A study was ran by Ann Dermatol proved that dietary aloe vera supplementation improves facial wrinkles and elasticity and it increases the type I procollagen gene expression in human skin.

Reduce Plaque Build Up

According to a study from the Ethiopian Journal of Health Sciences, aloe vera juice can in fact work to reduce plaque build-up. The study had 300 people compared 100% pure aloe vera juice with the standard mouthwash ingredient chlorhexidine. The results show that aloe vera was just as effective as chlorhexidine.
